HealthCareer Transitions

Community platform & resource centre for healthcare professionals exploring alternative careers. πŸ’š

What is HealthCareer Transitions?

HealthCareer Transitions (HCT) is a non-judgmental and supportive community platform and resource centre for doctors, nurses, medical students and other healthcare professionals who are interested in exploring alternative careers.

This community lets you connect with other healthcare professionals exploring alternative careers, as well as professionals who have already successfully transitioned. You can also find information and job opportunities specifically tailored to you.

How can this network help you?

It's not easy to explore alternative career options within healthcare. There are few resources available, and even fewer supportive communities to help you navigate it.

We want to change that.

Here are a few things make our community special:

πŸ‘‰ Like-minded people: It's incredibly important for you to have a non-judgmental and supportive environment of peers to help you through this journey. That's why we carefully pre-vet every applicant before accepting them into our community spaces.

πŸ‘‰ Genuinely useful resources: We create informative resources that are specifically made for healthcare professionals wanting to make a career change. Our guides are actionable and genuinely useful, filled with content based on whatΒ you tell us you need.

πŸ‘‰ Specific resources for popular topics: We know lots of healthcare professionals are interested in breaking into health-tech and entrepreneurship, so we've created specific spaces and resources for these two topics.

πŸ‘‰ Specially curated job board:Β We've created a tailored job board specifically for medical professionals looking to try something new outside of clinical healthcare. We post volunteering positions, internships, freelance positions, part-time and full-time roles.

πŸ‘‰ Access to partner coaches and organisations:Β We've partnered with a range of coaches and organisations specifically providing services for healthcare professionals exploring alternative paths, and have exclusive discounts for these services which you can access.

We're careful about who we let in... πŸ‘€

This platform isn't going to be the best fit for everyone, and we want to make 100% sure that those who join our community have the best of intentions, and that their values align with ours.

We want to keep this space supportive, kind and non-judgmental. That's why we ask anyone who wants to join this membership a few screening questions before we let them in!

Who built this anyway?Β

Hi, I'm Hana! πŸ’š

I'm an ex-doctor turned social entrepreneur and the founder of HealthCareer Transitions. I left medicine 7 years ago, and have since had the privilege of working in a wide number of job roles in the areas ofΒ healthtech, entrepreneurship, non-profits and more.
Β

When I was leaving medicine, I had very few places to go to for help and information, and even fewer people to speak to about it. It's for this reason I built HealthCareer Transitions, so I can help other healthcare professionals get the support and information I wish I had.

One of the most valuable parts of this journey for me has been making wonderful friends who are also ex-healthcare professionals and completely get what I'm going through. I'm hoping that this community I'm building will provide that for you, and I'm also hoping I can become one of your new friends too!Β

We'd love for you to join our community.

We may be a little biased, but we think that our community is pretty special. 😁

We genuinely want to build a network of supportive, non-judgmental people who will support and lift each other up during difficult times and transition periods in their careers.Β

We’re laser-focused on providing you with as much valuable information as possible, but also on forging a real connection and friendship with you. None of us have to go through this journey alone. πŸ’š
